A company press release issued on Wednesday stated that Darling Ingredients, a supplier to the agri-food industry, has promoted Sandra Dudley to executive vice president of renewable energy and U.S. specialty businesses.

The role takes effect immediately. In this role, Dudley will oversee the company's renewable fuel strategy and lead its professional operations in the United States, including the production of nutrients for the pet food, fertilizer, bakery and refining industries. She will also work to promote the growth of the company's restaurant service business and integrate Darling into the company's new renewable diesel joint venture Diamond Green Diesel (DGD).

"Sandy's extensive knowledge in the renewable fuel industry and low-carbon feedstock supply provides her with a unique and valuable perspective, which makes Darling a leader in sustainable ingredients," Darling Components Chairman and CEO Randall C Stuewe said in a statement. "Her contribution has benefited Darling's business around the world, and we look forward to her business acumen to continue to achieve results in this new leadership position."

Dudley was previously Senior Vice President of Renewable Energy and Strategy for Darling Components, helping DGD increase the production of renewable diesel. Before joining the company in 2015, she held various positions at ConAgra Foods and Tenaska Marketing Ventures.
